Thankful Thursday

My, it has been much to long since I've done a Thankful Thursday! Today, I am thankful for:

The local pool! Where we spend 4 to 5 days a week during the summer. Big sister goes under water, goes down the water slide alone, and jumps into the pool now! At the start of the summer she would do nothing! So proud of her, she starts her first set of swim lessons Monday!

The opportunity to homeschool our children. Tonight as I was browsing curriculum for big sisters upcoming pre-k/k year, I was reminded that not everyone has the option or the opportunity to stay home and homeschool their children too.

My friends. I just love them. Period.

Coupons, thirst stores, and craigslist! We have great resources at hand to help us become better stewards with our money! Who doesnt love a good deal?

Kids! I am thankful & excited that the families in our church are GROWING! Realizing that Children are indeed a gift from God, and "bigger" families are becoming the new "trend". Love it. Always makes me wonder when our next one will come along...be it through foster care or birth!

Thankful Thursday

Today I thought I'd sneak in a minute to post about what I'm thankful for today, since I haven't in so long.

Today, I am thankful that my husband has a good job and that I am able to stay at home with our children. That God is control.I will never have to worry about not having food to feed my children, or where my family is going to sleep tonight. He will provide us with everything we need, as he always has.

I am thankful that other families here are becoming aware of the need for loving, Christian foster families.

I am thankful that "Cute for a Cause" is growing bigger than I ever thought it would.

I am thankful for all the great women God has placed in my life.

I am ever so thankful that we are debt free, that we have a great savings, and that we are learning & continuing to live without debt. That our children will have "different" lives because of it, and that we can now teach our children that it is the way we are suppose to live.

I am thankful for the beautiful weather we've had this week.

And thankful for my sweet girls.

Thankful Thursday

I try to do my Thankful Thursday post's as many Thursdays as I can remember to, but in November I make sure to do them every week so that I can reflect on all that God has done for me and has given me as we near Thanksgiving.

This week, I am Thankful for:

- God entrusting my husband and I with three little lives to care for. To raise for one purpose- to serve him.

-God blessing me with my husband. I could not have done better if he had let me create a spouse.

-God stirring our hearts to care for the Orphan, and for all the progress that has been made in the past 15 months.

-Wisdom. For the tools to learn. For access to books & the internet.

-My parents and siblings- and all that God has done and is doing in them.

God is Good, I am forever Thankful .

Thankful Thursday

So, right now I am reading the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. I am only about, 4 chapters in, and it has already started to change my way of thinking about life, God, and how I'm living. It also definitely makes me feel like I will never ever make it to heaven- SO thankful for God's grace. I know I am going to end up reading it twice, to fully grasp what he is saying. So, I am thankful for this book- that could potentially change my life-hoping that it will.

I am thankful for my husband. My hardworking, handsome and gentle husband. I am so proud of the things he doing and how motivated he is now.

I am thankful to have three, amazingly healthy and beautiful little girls. They drive me crazy at times, but it's all worth it.

I am thankful for the motivation I have to get out of the house and run, as I have been. I am ending week two of the 5k training, and I'm getting better and better every run. For instance, I am not dying by the time we are done anymore! I can run longer and faster, and breathe better than just last week. Only 19 more runs until my first 5k!

I am thankful that God is doing something in my life. I am thankful that he has HUGE plans for my family and I, and I'm excited to see where he is leading us :)

Thankful Thursday

Today...I am thankful that I have fallen in love with God all over again...like in the begining! There is nothing greater!
