IMO, just because people go to church, doesn't mean that they have godly intentions. Now, most people in church, I believe are wanting to be near God, but like anywhere else, there are those that get into places with the wrong intentions.
But then again, people are just that, people, and the devil can get a hold of anyone at any time and tempt them and make them do the wrong things.
It does... But...I know this person walk's closely with God. This person has helped me grow in Christ. The devil is totally trying to get in right now.
WHAT?!? The enemy can get to ANYONE!! ANYONE! He uses our weakness again us and our flesh becomes weak. Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." We must always be on our guard and christian (I think) are the devils biggest targets. Look at my life... my testimony.
Even though she has walked with you to where you are now, she still is not perfect and can still fall just as fast as anyone. Just pray for her and speak the word into her. :)
People who claim to be Christians and "walk close to god" can be just as bad as anyone. Religion is not a determining factor in goodness. It's at best a guideline and at worst an excuse for behavior.
Remember when the Lord told Peter "get thee behind me Satan"? Peter was the Lord's, but he was being used of the Devil at that moment. We must always be careful to walk moment by moment in the Spirit...only the Lord can give the ability to walk WITH Him. Christians still fight against the world, the flesh and the Devil...we are not glorified yet! Blessings, Camille
